Scientific Name - Petroselinum crispum
Properties - Diuretic, carminative, appetite stimulant, emmenagogue, laxative (root), breath freshener, high in Vitamins
Common Uses - Chew leaves for fresh breath. Use in tea or as a garnish for foods. May stimulate the appetite, reduce flatulence and fluid retention. Sometimes taken to normalize menstrual flow.

Locating & Handling - Purchase fresh or dried at grocery store. Easy to grow indoors or out. Seeds need to be kept very moist and warm to start.
Caution - May be toxic in large amounts. Should be avoided during pregnancy.
